Shayakhmetov Bagdat Mukhametovich

Born – November 17, 1946; Birth place – Kamyshynka, Kurshim region, EKO

President of “Ust-Kamenogorsky Titanium and Magnesium Combinat” (TMK in Russian) joint company. In 1969, he graduated from Kazakh Polytechnic Institute and then he was directed to Ust-Kamenogorsky TMK. He went through all steps of metallurgical production; from common worker to manager of combinat. He is also an author of more than 60 inventor’s certificates and patents for inventions and scholarly articles. Works on creation of raw-material base for titanium being held in Kazakhstan due to generalship of Shayakhmetov. Shayakhmetov is graduate of International Academy and Engineering Academy of Kazakhstan. He’s got a plenty of State and International diplomas and orders: they are honorary professor of Kazakh National Technical University and Eastern-Kazakhstan Technical University; Laureate of State Prize in the range of Science, Technique and Education; He is promoted as “Pioneer of minefield of Kazakhstan”, “Deserved Worker of Culture of Republic”, “Person of the Year”, “Almsgiver of the Decade” and awarded “Otan” and “Ensign of Honor”.
