Ivanov Aleksey Stepanovich
Born – March 5, 1928-1999; Birth place – Vydrikha village,Glubokoye region, EKO
Writer, member of USSR’s union of writers. Hero of Socialist Labour, the author of well-known novels about Soviet village and national economy toilers “Teni ischezayut v polden”( “Shadows disappear at noon”), “Vechnyy Zov”( “Eternal Cry”), “Povitel” ( “Buchwheat”) and others. The prototypes of his writings were his brothers from Eastern Kazakhstan. He visited Ust-Kamenogorsk many times and collaborated with commonwealth of letter from city and oblast. He made a massive impact on developing of Soviet literature, bringing up the oblast inhabitants as the characters of his works.
