Literary Ust-Kamenogorsk has a lot of people to proud such as Anatoly Ivanov, Pavel Bazhov, Mengali Musin, Boris Scherbakov, Oralhan Bokeev, Evgeniy Kurdakov, Stanislav Chernyh, Tamara Golovanova, Mikhail Chistyakov, Aleksandr Romanov, Mikhail Tyckih, Vera Voronova, Serik Gabdullin, Muslim Kumarbekov, Serik Bayhonov, Vladlen Shuster, Lubov Medvedeva and others. The Literary works of Georgiy Grebenschikov and Aleksander Volkov have a World popularity.
The writer Egorov and other authors publish the Literary and Arts magazine called “Vostok” where poets and prose writers of Ust’-Kamenoforsk can publish their Literary works. Editor and chief of “Ak Ertis” is famous poet Serik Gabdullin.
In Central City’s Library carries out the Vasilevsky readings and City’s competition of Oralhan Bokeev. Central City’s Library always supports young writers.
