Saintpaulia - hints on its raise and care

In 2005, the fancy of the flower called African violet founded the club “Saintpaulia”.
Club’s activities include advising practice, recommendations, knowledge of new cultivars and just enjoy for its participants

The seeds of shamefaced African flower to be found by Walter von Saint Paul-Illaire more than a century before, now spread all over the world.
There are, all in all, about 22-26 species of saintpaulias. Until quite recently, it is known more than 8.000 species of African violet. During its evolution, saintpaulia changed beyond recognition but still to be loved even more than ever. It had spurted into awesome popularity world-wide lately. In Russian Federation growers, exhibitors and lovers instituted “African Violet Russian Society” (ROOLS). Yet in early fifties “The African Violet Society of America” (AVSA) was put into operation. It provides annual conventions and shows to be held in USA and Canada.
During its operation, club featured 6 projects in the exhibitions.
Regular show occurred on April, 11th in Central Library this year. More than 1000 people visited these shows.
